Dr. Brown has significant experience in advocating for and providing a supportive environment for fellow resident physicians. He shares advice and tips for how residents can protect themselves along the way. We discuss how underrepresented minorities in medicine are often isolated throughout training and are often at risk for discrimination and other adverse outcomes. We discuss data being compiled regarding the rate at which minority residents are dismissed: Diversity and Inclusion in Graduate Medical Education
