In this episode of the Black Doctors Podcast, I chat with Dr. Adedeji Olusanya, a PM&R resident. He shares his incredible story detailing his pathway to medicine. (It wasn’t straightforward). He persevered through some exceptional challenges to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic medicine degree. He talks about the differences between DO and MD. He also describes how and why he chose to specialize in PM&R.
This episode will especially inspire current applicants to medical school. Additionally, Dr. Olusanya helped start the Mentoring Minorities in Medicine non-profit organization. This program provides scholarship programs to fund MCAT prep materials and medical school applications.
TBDPis a volunteer passion project with the goal of inspiring all who listen. In-house music and audio production, so any ideas for improvements or suggestions for future guests are welcome. Visit www.StevenBradleyMD.com to learn more about our host. He is available for consultations regarding health equity or medical ethics, as well as for mentorship.
