Originally keen on OBGYN, her rotations and experiences during medical school shifted her focus to family medicine. Dr. Norris highlights her passion for preventive and lifestyle medicine, which she further developed during her residency at Loma Linda.
Residency at Loma Linda:
Based in a ‘Blue Zone,’ Loma Linda University in California is situated in one of the regions where people live the longest. The vegetarian hospital, with its focus on faith and preventative care, was an ideal environment for Dr. Norris to hone her medical skills.
Returning to Las Vegas:
With her family in mind and the dream of giving back to her community, Dr. Norris knew she would return to Las Vegas. After finishing her residency and welcoming her second child, she took the bold step of starting her private practice directly out of residency.
